The International Publishers Association and the London Book Fair (LBF) announced the program for the first IPA International Education Conference, a one day event that will run alongside LBF on April 17, 2013. The result of a new partnership, the first program will include a keynote address from Andreas Schleicher, director of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as well as talks from World Bank’s Michael Trucano, and Reed Elsevier’s Y.S. Chi.
The conference aims to “look objectively at measures of educational success, the effectiveness of learning resources and learning technologies, and the public policies that have been demonstrated to improve educational outcomes,” according to a joint release. The event will be managed and operated by Reed Exhibitions in conjunction with the IPA, with four sessions across the day, including panel debates and case study presentations.
