Publishers Weekly is teaming up with BookBrunch, the U.K.’s online book trade news and information service, to publish three print dailies at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair. The two combined to publish two editions of the Frankfurt Fair Dealer at the 2009 event and this year coverage will be expanded to cover the first three days—Wednesday through Friday. As at Frankfurt last autumn and in London this spring, the dailies will offer a lively and authoritative mix of news, features and think-pieces written by journalists from the two publications and by some of international publishing’s most respected figures.

PW publisher Cevin Bryerman said he was looking forward to working with the BookBrunch team to bring live coverage to the Frankfurt fair again this year. “We’ve received lots of great feedback about our print dailies at BEA, London and Frankfurt. Fairgoers appreciate being kept informed of the latest events taking place at the fair and in the publishing world” Bryerman said. “Our two joint ventures, first at Frankfurt and then at London, have met with great success,” added Liz Thomson, cofounder of BookBrunch. “The breadth of knowledge and contacts and the commitment the two teams bring to this shared endeavor is greater than the sum of its parts.”

The print editions will be supplemented by digital versions this year, noted PW president George Slowik, Jr. “The contents of the Frankfurt Fair Dealer will be online this year and included in our iPad app available to all PW subscribers. In that manner, fairgoers and those who cannot attend can keep abreast of important international developments at the show,” Slowik said.
