Angouleme Coverage, Winners
The 2008 prize winners at the Angouleme International Comics Festival have been announced. Shaun Tan's The Arrival won the best comic book prize. Dupuy and Berberian won the Grand Prize. Pre-Selling at Cons
Over at PW The Beat, Heidi MacDonald, links to Fantagraphics' Eric Reynolds and Gary Groth's response to retailers request that publishers stop pre-selling books at conventions. The controversy over pre-selling started with a position paper released by the Comics Professional Retail organization, ComicsPRO, which asked publishers not to pre-sell books at conventions, claiming it is detrimental to direct market comics' stores.

Harvey Awards' Ballots
The ballots for the 2008 Harvey Awards are now available online. The ballots must be submitted by March 21st. The Harvey Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Baltimore Comic-Con on Saturday September 27th. Shojo Beat Music Edition
Viz Media has announced the February issue of Shojo Beat will be the third annual Music Awards issue. The magazine will feature a reader’s choice vote and a contest with MYX, an Asian American music lifestyle channel. Readers who vote on their favorite music will be entered into a drawing for fifteen prizes; the rules for voting and the prizes can be found at the Shojo Beat website. Also included in the issue is a beginner's guide to Japanese bands, a top ten list from a Tokyo record store, and a look at awards winners and new talented artists. IDW Offers Rogue Angel
IDW is publishing the comic series Rouge Angel: Teller of Tall Tales, based on the prose novels published by Gold Eagle Books. The story follows Annja Creed, an archeologist. The five-issue mini series is written by Barbara Randall Kesel, illustrated by Renae De Liz, and inked and colored by Ray Dillon. The first issue of Rouge Angel will be in stores in February. Quesada on The Colbert Report
Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada will be a guest on the late night comedy show, The Colbert Report on Tuesday January 29th. The Colbert Report airs on Comedy Central at 11:30 p.m. EST. More information can be found at Marvel's website.

Viz Anime Via Amazon
Viz Media has announced the animated series Naruto Uncut, Bleach, and Death Note will be available for download through Amazon Unbox, Amazon's digital video download service. The first 25 episodes of Naruto, the full Death Note series, and the first 25 episodes of Bleach will be available; each episode costs $1.99.
