Steve Berry is one of the stars of the thriller market. His books are set in the present with lots of historical backstories. The Templar Legacy (Ballantine, Feb. 21) is a rip-snorting, literate adventure about a current group of Knights Templar living in France who are fighting among themselves about the future of the order after their Master dies. There are lots of twists and turns, and spectacular scenery in one of my favorite places, Languedoc. If you think Dan Brown had readers questioning what happened in the Gospels, wait till they read this one. I enjoyed it tremendously and wish Steve another bestselling book. The May release of The Da Vinci Code movie would be the perfect time to create a Templar Legacythriller display, promoting it with Steve's other equally grand books, The Amber Room, The Romanov Prophecy and The Third Secret (which comes out in paperback in February).
