U.S. Book Show: Call for Submissions
PW is putting together a rich slate of programming for the upcoming U.S. Book Show. A big piece of that is a series of PW editor picks panels highlighting important books publishing this fall. We will have panels covering general fiction, mysteries and thrillers, biography and memoir, and current affairs, as well as picture books, middle grade, and young adult books. There will also be a panel covering comics and graphic novels for adults and kids.PW's reviews editors will choose the books to be featured in each panel, and the event format will allow for the editor of each of the chosen titles to have three to five minutes to pitch the book to the audience, a mix of booksellers, librarians, and others in the trade. The pitches will be pre-recorded, and each panel will conclude with a live Q&A session with the editors moderated by a PW reviews editor.
To be considered for the picks panels, please email us with a proposal outlining your major titles publishing between August 1 and December 31. Each submission should include the book title, author, the name of its editor, a synopsis of the book, a summary of your marketing and publicity plans, a digital galley if available (PDF or Word doc is fine), and a contact name and info. Please limit pitches to no more than two per imprint per category.
