Lauren Groff Among Latest MacDowell Fellows

The MacDowell Colony has awarded 67 artists working in seven disciplines with fellowships for the fall 2016 season. The fellowships, each with an average value of $10,000, were awarded from among a pool of 574 applications received between February and April 2016. Nonfiction writers awarded include Alex Abramovich, Jaquira Diaz, Ellen Forney, Colleen Kinder, Margaret Kimball, Dave Madden, James Marcus, Finbarr O'Reilly, and Nell Painter. Poets include Kit Frick, Gabriel Jesiolowski, Ilya Kaminsky, Joanna Klink, Katy Lederer, and Jena Osman. Fiction writers include Amy Bloom, Essie Chambers, Susanna Daniel, Andrea Dupree, Samar Fitzgerald, Rebecca Godfrey, Lauren Groff, Michael Harvkey, DaMaris Hill, A. Naomi Jackson, Tayari Jones, Jennifer Offill, Alison Pick, Tom Quach, Ronnie Scott, Alix Shulman, and Mika Tanner.
