Bookstr Offers a Reading App

Bookstr, a book recommendation, discovery and e-commerce site, has released a book and reading app via the App store.

The Bookstr app will allow its members to engage in “social discovery.” The app lets Bookstr members chat about books, connect online, organize online book clubs and subscribe to a variety of category and genre groups.

Bookstr members will also be able to buy books, receive requests about books from other members and interact with other Bookstr members based on literary tastes and interests.  The app will also let members receive the sites category focused newsletters.

Bookstr was originally launched under the name Reading Room. In August, the site renamed itself Bookstr and launched a redesigned website with plans to release a new reading and recommendation app.
