Liese Mayer Named Fiction Editorial Director at Bloomsbury

Liese Mayer will join Bloomsbury as editorial director for fiction on February 27. In the newly created role, Mayer will spearhead the company’s outreach into the fiction market with plans to grow the list with a new focus on upmarket, commercial fiction. An editor at Scribner since 2013, Mayer has held editorial roles at the Overlook Press, Little, Brown and Company, and Grove/Atlantic.
