Crown to Publish New Book by Erik Larson

The Crown Publishing Group will publish, under its Crown imprint, a new book by Erik Larson, Crown stable mainstay and the bestselling author of Dead Wake, In the Garden of Beasts, Isaac’s Storm, The Devil in the White City, and other works of narrative nonfiction. His new book, tentatively titled The Splendid and the Vile, will focus on Winston Churchill's life during his first year as prime minister. Print, digital, and audio formats are due to release in fall 2019. Amanda Cook, v-p and executive editor of Crown, acquired North American, electronic, and first serial rights from David Black of the David Black Literary Agency. The Black Agency retains world rights.
