A Month of Comics Events at Kickstarter
Kickstarter is kicking off a month of comics events at its Brooklyn headquaters, beginning April 2 with a program hosted by Kickstarter comics community manager Jamie Tanner.
Over the next month Kickstarter will offer a series of panels and presentations showing off comics projects it has funded, offer advice on running a campaign and highlighting the history of comics and current trends. The panels will be held at the Kickstarter offices at 58 Kent Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Look for comics artists Molly Ostertag (“Starting Your Comics Project,” April 2), animator Bill Plympton (“An Evening with Bill Plympton,” April 7) and a presentation by Comic Book Legal Defense Fund executive director Charles Brownstein (“Comics in the Past, Present and Future,” April 22) along with Columbia University graphic novels librarian Karen Green and Comixology co-founder John Roberts.
