Kinokuniya Hosts Oni Comics Artists Katie O’Neill, Yuko Ota, Ananth Hirsh
Indie comics house Oni Press is teaming with bookseller Kinokuniya to host a graphic novel roundtable and signing with artists Katie O’Neill and Yuko Ota and Ananth Hirsh on June 2 at 6pm at the end of BookExpo, at its Bryant Park Store in New York City.
The roundtable will highlight Katie O’Neill, author of the forthcoming graphic novel, The Tea Dragon Society, which will also be featured during BookExpo’s Hot Graphic Novels Panel on Thursday June 1. O’Neill is also the author of the Princess, Princess Ever After, an LGBTQ-positive take on a classic fairy tale plot. The Tea Dragon Society will be published by Oni Press in October 2017.
The roundtable will also feature the creative team of Yuko Ota and Anath Hirsh, coauthors of their new collection Our Cats are More Famous Than Us, a new collection from their Johnny Wander web comic series that was published by Oni Press in April. Ota and Hirsh are also the coauthors of Lucky Penny, another collection from their Johnny Wander webcomic.
The roundtable will be moderated by Oni Press editor in chief James Lucas Jones. After the panel discussion the artists will sign copies of their books.
