Scholastic to Publish ‘Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic’

Scholastic has announced plans to publish a new Harry Potter companion volume, Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic, in honor of the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Due out on October 20, the book will serve as an introduction to the upcoming exhibition at the British Library in London, which will arrive at the New-York Historical Society in October 2018.

Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic provides a sneak peek at art and artifacts featured in the exhibit, as well as activities and background on the history of magic. The book will be simultaneously released in the U.K. by Bloomsbury, along with an e-book edition, to be published by Pottermore in the U.S. and the U.K.
