S&S Hits #1 On Eight 'NYT' Lists In One Week
In a letter to staff, Simon & Schuster president and CEO Carolyn Reidy noted the publisher's dominance on the New York Times bestseller lists for the week of October 8, on which the publisher's books hit #1 on eight of the lists, including:
- #1 Hardcover Fiction: The Cuban Affair by Nelson DeMille (S&S)
- #1 Hardcover Nonfiction: What Happened by Hillary Clinton (S&S)
- #1 Combined Print and E-book Fiction: The Cuban Affair (S&S)
- #1 Combined Print and E-book Nonfiction: What Happened (S&S)
- #1 Paperback Trade Fiction: It by Stephen King (Scribner)
- #1 Paperback Nonfiction: The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls (Scribner)
- #1 Advice, How-to, and Miscellaneous: The TB12 Method by Tom Brady (S&S)
- #1 Business: Grit by Angela Duckworth (Scribner)
The publisher placed an additional thirteen titles on the various adult lists, with representation from every one of our publishing groups, four children’s bestsellers, and Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey from S&S distribution client Andrews McMeel.
