VitalSource Acquires Intrepid Learning

VitalSource, the Ingram Content Group’s educational software provider, has acquired Intrepid Learning, a Seattle corporate learning technology developer.

The two companies will combine their corporate and professional business education platforms under the Intrepid by VitalSource brandname.

Intrepid Learning CEO Sam Herring will join VitalSource in the role of general manager of Intrepid by Vitalsource.

Intrepid will now offer two complementary business education software products: Intrepid Learn and Intrepid Discover.  Intrepid Learn offers software educational solutions for leader development, training new hires, strategic initiatives, customer education and more. Intrepid Discover, originally developed as part of the VitalSource platform, delivers high-quality digital content to professional customers looking for extended enterprise learning

VitalSource COO Pep Carrera described Intrepid Learning as a “transformational” company in the learning software space.
