Judges Named for the 2018 Eisner Awards
Comic-Con International: San Diego has announced the six judges that will select the nominations to appear on ballots for the 2018 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards.
The individuals chosen as Eisner judges include: Candice Mack, manager of systemwide Young Adult Services at the Los Angeles Public Library, Graeme McMillan, who writes about comic books and pop culture, Tate Ottati, 2009 winner of the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award, Nhora Lucía Serrano, a visiting assistant professor of Comparative Literature at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY., Alex Simmons, an award-winning comics writer, playwright, and educator, and William F. Wilson, a longtime member of the staff at Comic-Con International, most recently in charge of the Eisner Awards nominee display in the Art Show.
Guidelines for submitting material for the judges will be announced on the Comic-Con website in early January. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 16.
The Will Eisner Awards, presented to the best comics and graphic novels of the previous year, will be presented at a gala ceremony held annually at the San Diego Comic-Con International in July.
