Bookselling Without Borders Opens Scholarship Applications
Bookselling Without Borders, a program to send booksellers to international books fairs launched last year, is again now taking applications for all-expenses-paid trips to the Turin Book Fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair, and the Guadalajara International Book Fair. The program, which was started last year by Europa Editions and Other Press, has also added Rutgers University Press and Princeton University Press, alongside Graywolf Press, The New Press, Catapult, and Ingram Content Group as principal sponsors. In addition to the sponsorship of these publishing entities, more than 250 individual donors have contributed upwards of $30,000 to the program through a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017.
Booksellers are encouraged to apply by visiting booksellingwithoutborders.com during the application period, January 17 through February 28. Scholarship recipients will be announced in March 2018.
