More Light on Madeleine L’Engle

As a movie version of Madeleine L’Engle’s 1962 classic novel of light overcoming darkness, A Wrinkle in Time, moved in theaters, Zondervan has announced a new spiritual biography to be published in August, during the centennial year of the author’s birth.

Sarah Arthur has been commissioned to write A Light So Lovely, drawing on interviews with literary contemporaries and fans of L’Engle such as Philip Yancey and Sarah Bessey. Acquisitions editor Stephanie Smith says the title is based on a quote from L’Engle: "We do not draw people to Christ by...showing them how wrong they are and how right we are, but by showing them a light that is so lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it.’
