Humble Bundle, CBC Offer Kids’ Comics Bundle
Humble Bundle, the promotional site that lets consumers pay what they wish for bundles of DRM-free digital content, is joining with the Children’s Book Council to release the Humble Kids Comics Bundle in celebration of Children’s Book Week, May 4-10. Released today, the bundle offers popular comics from a variety of publishers, including Image Comics, Viz Media, Papercutz, Top Shelf, Abrams, Boom! and more.
The Humble Kids Comics Bundle will launch April 29 and run until May 13 and allows consumers to donate part of the price they choose to pay to charity. For this bundle two charities have been added: the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, a nonprofit organization that fights censorship and protects the right to read, and Every Child A Reader, a nonprofit literacy organization devoted to children.
Consumers can pay whatever they wish for the Kids Comics Bundle which will include Axe Cop Vol. 1, Howtoons: [Re] Ignition Vol. 1, Build Your Own Website: A Comic Guide to HTML, CSS, and WordPress, Spaghetti is NOT a Finger Food (and Other Life Lessons), Betty & Veronica's Princess Storybook, Uglydoll: Eat Dat!, and Super Dinosaur Vol. 1. Consumers who pay more than $15 or more will also receive receive all of the above plus The Misadventures of Salem Hyde, Book One: Spelling Trouble; The Lunch Witch; and Lumberjanes Vol. 1. Additional content will be revealed on May 6.
