Staff Changes at Convergent

Convergent Books’ v-p, executive editor David Kopp will retire on May 1, while Gary Jansen has been promoted to executive editor, Convergent Books, effective immediately.
Jansen, a 20-year veteran with the Crown Publishing Group, has worked on projects including works by Madeleine L’Engle, Joan Chittister, John O’Donohue, and more. In his new role, Jansen will help senior v-p and publisher Tina Constable shape and grow the Convergent list while continuing on as director, Image, selectively acquiring front list titles and overseeing backlist promotions.
Jansen joins Convergent’s acquisition editor Derek Reed, executive editor Mary Reynics, and senior editor Shannon Marchese.
