Ruda Named Wiley's Chief Strategy Officer

John Wiley & Sons has appointed Taneli Ruda its new executive v-p and CSO, effective immediately. Ruda is charged with helping to "define and accelerate the next phase of Wiley’s growth, driving key initiatives that serve the research and education sectors."

Most recently, Ruda served as head of corporate strategy at Thomson Reuters, with responsibility for defining the company’s portfolio and growth strategies and driving company-wide mergers and acquisitions. During his time at Thomson Reuters, Ruda was also senior v-p and managing director of ONESOURCE Global Trade, where he successfully expanded the software suite globally and positioned it as a leader in the management of complex tax and trade issues.
