Prelude Acquires Duckworth

Prelude Books has acquired the majority of the publishing assets of Duckworth. Prelude will take over publication of the substantial portion of Duckworth titles effective immediately as part of the acquisition. Duckworth will become an imprint of Prelude Books. Matt Casbourne will also join Prelude Books from Duckworth as head of trade sales, reporting to publisher Pete Duncan. The imprint’s operations will continue in its current Shoreditch, London, office for the short term before transferring to Prelude’s office in Richmond, London. Duckworth was owned by the late Peter Mayer since 2003.
