Frankfurt Book Fair Launches Bookfest
Frankfurt Book Fair has launched Bookfest, a festival-within-a-festival, to be held in the new Frankfurt Pavilion and in other locations across the city. Bookfest will feature bestseller events on the fair's exhibition grounds, poetry slams, tasting events, and discussions throughout the city of Frankfurt. It will be held in conjunction with the Frankfurt Book Fair, from October 10 to October 14.
Some events at Bookfest include bestselling Swedish author Håkan Nesser in conversation with the cast of the film adaptation of his thriller Barin’s Triangle, German comedian Otto Waalkes in conversation with Bernd Eilert on his recently published biography Cerebellum to All, and events at the Pavilion with authors and other creators including Paul Beatty, Meg Wolitzer, Maja Lunde, Deniz Yücel, Dimitry Glukhovsky, Cixin Liu, Robert Seethaler and German musician Udo Lindenberg.
