Indie Poetry Publishers Black Ocean and Gramma Poetry Join Forces

Established independent poetry press Black Ocean has taken over all publishing activities for titles published by Gramma Poetry as of January 31, 2019.
The Boston-based Black Ocean has published many notable titles, including Elisa Gabbert’s essay collection The Word Pretty, which was recently reviewed in the New York Times, as well as the posthumous titles of internationally renowned poet Tomaž Šalamun. Gramma Poetry, based in Seattle, has published nine full-length poetry collections.
The agreement between the two publishers stipulates that Black Ocean will handle printing, distribution, and publicity for all titles previously published under the Gramma imprint, which, in future reprintings, will be published as Black Ocean titles.
