Brooklyn Indies It’s Alive!, So What? Press Team on Distribution, Publishing
Under a new partnership, indie comics publisher It’s Alive! will distribute So What? Press’s Tales of the Night Watchman to the comics shop market, and team to publish a crossover series with The Red Hook creator Dean Haspiel.
Under the agreement, So What? Press will operate as an imprint of It’s Alive to distribute Tales of the Night Watchman, and collaborate to publish new issues of the series about baristas who fight monsters. In addition, in fall 2019 It’s Alive and So What? Press will publish The Final Kill, a two-part So What? Press miniseries, as well as The Untold Legend of Luna, crossover one shot Night Watchman tale with The Red Hook, acclaimed cartoonist Dean Haspiel’s Brooklyn superhero series, which is published online by Line Webtoon and in print by Image.
It’s Alive is a crowdfunded comics reprint house founded by Drew Ford in 2016.
The Final Kill is written by Dave Kelley and Dean Haspiel with art by Brett Hobson, and colors by Sonia Liao. The Untold Legend of Luna, written by Kelley and Haspiel in which the Night Watchmen and The Red Hook team up in a time travel story to save Brooklyn’s first superhero, a mysterious and long forgotten woman named Luna.
