DC to Publish 'Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child' in December
Legendary comics creator Frank Miller will team with acclaimed artist Grampá to publish Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child, a sequel to his acclaimed 2017 work, Dark Knight III: Master Race.
The book takes place three years after the events of the Master Race, revisiting the Kandorian renegade priest Quar and his cult of fanatics. The story will bring together Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Carie Kelley and Gotham City’s new protector Lara Kent, aka Batwoman, who will all team up to face a new evil. The story will feature the “Golden Child”—Jonathan Kent—whose incredible powers are all that stands in the path of the destruction of Gotham and perhaps the entire planet.
The book will be published by DC’s Black Label line on December 11 and will also include a series of variant covers by artists Paul Pope, Joëlle Jones, and Andy Kubert, in addition to variant covers by Frank Miller himself.
