Street Noise Books Inks Distribution Deal with Ingram’s Consortium
Street Noise Books, a newly launched publishing house specializing in graphic novels and nonfiction, and heavily illustrated books for young adults, has reached a distribution deal with Consortium Book Sales & distribution, effective January 1, 2020.
Launched earlier this year, Street Noise Books announced plans to debut its inaugural list of six titles beginning in 2020. The house plans to publish about 6-8 titles per year initially. The house’s list will focus on graphic works by artists that reflect a feminist, queer, and intersectional range of creative voices that include people of color as well as a broad selection of marginalized communities.
Consortium v-p, Ingram Publishers Services, Julie Schaper, welcomed the new publisher as a consortium client.
Street Noise Books publisher and founder Liz Frances, a 15-year veteran of the publishing industry, said, “in the wake of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, I have become passionately driven to advocate for the power of love and compassion in the face of hate and oppression. I am launching Street Noise Books to create a means from which truth can be told, a place to share our stories, to foster community, and to build a future where all people are free and respected.”
