Galassi Retires, Callaway Promoted at Avalon

Donna Galassi will retire from her position as v-p and associate publisher of Avalon Travel at the end of this year. Galassi began her publishing career at Moon in 1985, then served as Associate Publisher for Foghorn Outdoors (now Moon Outdoors), and John Muir Publications (which published Rick Steves), until Avalon Publishing Group combined Moon, Foghorn, and John Muir into Avalon Travel on January 1, 2000, with Galassi as associate publisher. 

Avalon’s next v-p and associate publisher, effective January 2, is Jaimee Callaway. Callaway served in various corporate marketing positions at Perseus for eight years before becoming marketing director for Avalon in March 2016.
