Bennett, Pelz Join HMH

Millicent Bennett has joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as editorial director, reporting to Bruce Nichols.  She was previously an executive editor at Grand Central Publishing, and has also worked at Simon & Schuster, Random House, Ecco, and Knopf. Bennett will oversee HMH’s fiction program as well as acquire and edit select fiction and nonfiction.

Sarah Pelz has joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as executive editor, reporting to Deb Brody. Pelz will focus on acquiring lifestyle nonfiction across a range of areas, including health, wellness, self-help, and parenting. She was previously executive editor at Atria Books.
