M-H, Cengage Merger Delayed Again

Following the announcement that the U.K.’s Competition & Markets Authority will not complete its review of the deal before September, Cengage said in a statement its merger with McGraw-Hill has been delayed until October.

In addition to the U.K. review, the merger is still being examined by governmental authorities in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico. The combination of the two educational publishing giants was originally set to be completed this past February, but that closing date was moved to May, 2020.
