PRH to Publish Digital Cookbook to Benefit Restaurant Workers
Looking to support one of the many industries devastated by the pandemic, Penguin Random House plans to publish Family Meal: Recipes from our Community, a digital-only cookbook to benefit restaurant workers.
Family Meal: Recipes from Our Community will be published May 5. The book will feature more than 40 recipes by chefs and home cooks who have published books with PRH’s various imprints. All proceeds from Family Meal will benefit the Restaurant Workers’ Community Fund’s Covid-19 Crisis Relief Fund, which supports on-the-ground efforts in the restaurant community.
The book will feature delicious recipes from such chefs as Alison Roman, Hugh Acheson, Dan Barber, Molly Baz, Bobby Flay, Kwame Onwuachi, Danny Trejo, and others. The foods range from the Chorizo White Bean Stew and Sweet Noodle Kugel to Shrimp and Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Olive Oil Cookies.
Family Meal will also have an introduction by PRH CEO Madeline McIntosh and a foreword by the Restaurant Workers’ Community Fund co-founder and president John deBarys.
