ABA Ratifies Board Changes

Following a vote, the American Booksellers Association will be making changes to its board. It will add two seats to its board, bringing the total to 13, and guarantee four seats are reserved for BIPOC booksellers.

In addition, the election of several new board members was ratified, including Kenny Brechner from Devaney, Doak and Garrett Booksellers in Farmington, Maine; Christine Onorati from WORD in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jersey City, N.J.; and Tegan Tigani from Queen Anne Book Company in Seattle, Wash., to the board.

The ABA is now actively seeking nominations for two Black booksellers to join the board immediately.
