Otto Penzler Announces New Mystery Anthology

Mysterious Press has launched an annual series of anthologies titled The Mysterious Bookshop Presents: The Best Mystery Stories of the Year, beginning in October 2021. The editor of the first volume is Lee Child and the books will be distributed by W.W. Norton. Submissions for should be sent in printed form to Otto Penzler, 58 Warren Street, New York, N.Y. 10007.
Otto Penzler, CEO and publisher of Penzler Publishers, had previously edited The Best American Mystery Stories, a similar anthology for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Michele Slung, who had previously worked with Penzler on the anthology at HMH, will continue in the role of first reader for the new anthology published by Mysterious Press.
