Bethany House Promotes New Editorial Director

Bethany House executive acquisitions editor Andy McGuire, been named editorial director following the departure of editorial v-p David Horton after 22 years with the Baker Publishing Group Imprint. BPG’s Jennifer Leep, executive v-p of trade publishing, expressed gratitude for Horton’s leadership “and for the passion, creativity, and vision Andy has consistently demonstrated in his work.” McGuire came to Bethany as acquisitions editor for non-fiction in 2008, from Moody Publishers where he acquired both fiction and non-fiction.
