HMH Acquires Book by Impeachment Witness Fiona Hill
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has acquired There Is Nothing For You Here: Opportunity in an Age of Decline by Fiona Hill, an expert on Russian and European affairs, a former official on the National Security Council, and a witness during the 2019 impeachment of President Trump. The book is slated to be released in 2021.
The book was acquired by senior editor Alex Littlefield for North American rights. Hill was represented by Andrew Nurnberg Associates. The book will draw on Hill’s personal and professional experience in the U.S. and Europe and examine the historical trends in politics and industrial policy in both regions in an effort to show how to restore opportunity to all citizens rather than serving only the privileged few.
Hill said, “since then, my personal and professional lives have led me from the United Kingdom to Russia and finally to the United States, where I have found great opportunity but also many of the same challenges. I am writing this book to share my story, but also to share the lessons I’ve learned about how we can revitalize our country’s forgotten places.”
