Lam to Head Clarkson Potter
Francis Lam has been promoted to v-p and editor-in-chief of Clarkson Potter, effective immediately, reporting to Aaron Wehner. Lam has served as editor-at-large at Clarkson Potter since 2013, and his list, Wehner said, "reflects his broad curiosity and devotion to important stories told by great storytellers." Titles edited by Lam include Chrissy Teigen's Cravings and Cravings: Hungry for More, David Chang’s bestselling memoir Eat a Peach, Toni Tipton-Martin’s Jubilee, and and the 2017 James Beard Cookbook of the Year, Victuals by Ronni Lundy.
Lam is a former staff writer for Gourmet, and has written for Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Lucky Peach, Cooking Light, and Men’s Journal, and the New York Times Magazine as a columnist; he has been nominated for nine James Beard Awards, and won four. He is also the host of The Splendid Table, a public radio show, has served as a judge on two seasons Top Chef Masters. Prior to joining Clarkson Potter, Francis launched the food section at Salon and directed the editorial content at Gilt Taste.
