Call For 2021-2022 Grant Applications for NEA's Big Read

The National Endowment for the Arts along with Arts Midwest have released guidelines for nonprofits interested in grants to support an NEA Big Read between September 2021 and June 2022. The NEA Big Read brings communities together around reading a single book.

The deadline for forthcoming Big Read applications is January 27, 2021 and information is also available on the Arts Midwest Website. Since the Big Read began in 2006, more than 1,600 NEA Big Read Programs have taken place around the country. The books available for the next round of Big Read programs are An American Sunrise by Joy Harjo, Beloved by Toni Morrison, The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir by Thi Bui, The Call of the Wild, White Fang, and Other Stories by Jack London, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, and The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
