The Vatican Names Our Sunday Visitor Exclusive Publisher of Official Resources

The Vatican selected Our Sunday Visitor as the exclusive worldwide English-language publisher of the eight official books for the upcoming Jubilee Year of Mercy declared by Pope Francis, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

Pope Francis requested that the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization produce the eight books, which are intended to become a resource for all Catholics to grow in their understanding and appreciation of mercy in Scripture, liturgy, the sacraments and Church teaching.

The titles of the eight books, which will be available ahead of the Holy Year this fall, are as follows:
1.    Celebrating Mercy
2.    The Psalms of Mercy
3.    The Parables of Mercy
4.    Mercy in the Fathers of the Church 
5.    The Saints of Mercy
6.    Mercy in the Teachings of the Popes
7.    The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy
8.    The Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Experience of Mercy
