UAE's Al Qasimi Is New IPA President

In its first-ever virtual annual meeting, the International Publishers Association has voted Bodour Al Qasimi of Kalimat Group in as president-elect. Karine Pansa of Girassol Brasil Edições in Brazil was selected as v-p elect. Both have been long-serving members of the organization and are highly visible members of the international publishing community. Their two-year terms begin on January 1, 2021.

In a separate vote, the Senegal Publishers Association was giving full membership to the IPA, while provisional membership was awarded to the Book Industry Organization of Trinidad and Tobago the Uganda Publishers Association.
