Porchlight 2020 Business Book of the Year Winner
Porchlight Book Company, formerly 800-CEO-READ, has announced that The Double X Economy: The Epic Potential of Women's Empowerment by Linda Scott (Farrar, Straus and Giroux) has won the Porchlight Business Book of the Year Award for 2020. The award was presented virtually from the company’s headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisc. Scott is a professor emeritus of entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Oxford and a senior consulting fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, and was named one of the top twenty-five world thinkers of 2015 in Prospect.. The Double X Economy is her debut book.
In addition, Harriet Rubin is the recipient of the seventh annual Jack Covert Award for Contribution to the Business Book Industry. The Jack Covert Award is named for Porchlight’s now-retired founder and president.
