U.S. Selfies Extend Deadline for Entries
The deadline for submissions to the U.S. Selfies, the annual awards honoring the best self-published titles of the past year, has been extended to March 8, 2021.
Jo Henry, managing director of BookBrunch, a book publishing news site and one of the managers of the U.S. Selfies, said, “We’ve had an excellent response to this year’s call for submissions, but we are extending the deadline another week to give sponsors the opportunity to further promote the awards to their audience of indie authors and encourage them to submit their work.”
The U.S. Selfies, which are hosted by Publishers Weekly and BookLife, also announced that two new sponsors will provide support to the event. Author Solutions, a self-publishing platform, at the platinum level, and Barnes & Noble at the gold level.
The U.S. Selfies awards a prize for the best children's book and for the best adult fiction title. Shortlists for the awards are expected to be announced in May 2021. The prize winners for each category will be announced during the American Library Association virtual annual conference, June 23 – 29, 2021.
