McSweeney's, Knopf to Copublish Dave Eggers' Next Novel

McSweeney’s and Knopf will copublish The Every by Dave Eggers on October 19. The novel was sold to John Freeman, executive editor at Knopf. The novel, the publishers said, considers what would happen should "the world’s largest search engine and social media company merge with the dominant e-commerce site," and "imagines where submission to an all-digital culture will take us, and what happens when one woman resists."
