Carmen Maria Machado has won the 2021 Rathbones Folio Prize for her memoir In the Dream House (Graywolf Press). The prize comes with a £30,000 monetary award. The Rathbones Folio Prize, also known as the Writers’ Prize, awards the best work of literature of the year, regardless of form. This year's award was announced at the British Library on March 24.
