2021 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award Finalists Announced
IBPA Announces Finalists in the 33rd Annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ Program
The Independent Book Publishers Association has announced the finalists for the 33rd annual Benjamin Franklin Awards program, which recognizes "excellence and innovation in independent publishing." One finalist in each of the 55 categories will be named a winner during a set of four online ceremonies to be held May 11-14.
Of the 146 books named finalists, 16 were awarded in multiple categories—meaning a different set of three judges determined their excellence in each category. 14 of those titles received two nods, while Grouse & Woodcock: The Birds of My Life (Wild River Press) was named a finalist in three: art and photography, sports and recreation; and cover design: large format. Wine and the White House: A History (White House Historical Association) was named a finalist in four categories: coffee table book; history; reference; and interior design.
