Fan Expo San Francisco to Launch in 2022

Pop culture festival producer Fan Expo HQ announced plans to launch Fan Expo: San Francisco, a new three-day pop culture comics convention to be held in the fall of 2022 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The specific event days for the new event will be announced later this year.

Fan Expo HQ President, Aman Gupta said Fan Expo: San Francisco is thrilled to bring a new comic con style fan celebration of film, gaming, comics, and more to the Bay Area.

“We’re committed to growing an exceptional event for fans who’ve been missing out since Wondercon moved to Anaheim in 2012, and really make a home in this community. San Francisco is a world-class hub for creativity, diversity, and innovation – I hope fans embrace us and get involved so we can celebrate their incredible local talent together.” 

The launch of Fan Expo: San Francisco follows the debut of Fan Expo: Denver, a new pop culture convention launched in partnership with Pop Culture Classroom, the Denver nonprofit responsible for the Denver Comic Con. Fan Expo HQ manages a number of North American fan events including Megacon Orlando, Fan Expo Dallas, Fan Expo Denver, and Fan Expo Boston; the two of the largest shows in Canada: Fan Expo Canada (Toronto) and the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo.
