Erroll McDonald Named V-p, Executive Editor at Knopf
Erroll McDonald, who has acquired books for Pantheon and Knopf since 1990, will now do so exclusively for Knopf as v-p and executive editor, Alfred A. Knopf, reporting to Knopf executive v-p and publisher Reagan Arthur. McDonald was brought on as an intern at Random House by Toni Morrison, then an editor at the publisher, and has worked with such authors as James Baldwin, Harold Bloom, Italo Calvino, Sandra Cisneros, Stanley Crouch, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Kazuo Ishiguro, Margo Jefferson, Randall Kennedy, Laila Lalami, Fran Lebowitz, Daniel E. Lieberman, Richard Posner, Richard Pryor, David Reich, Salman Rushdie, Nina Simone, Wole Soyinka, Colm Toibin, Ngugi wa Thiongo, Laura Kipnis, and John Edgar Wideman.
