McNally Jackson Launches Reprint Book Line
McNally Jackson Booksellers is launching McNally Editions, a paperback reprint series. The editorial team, overseen by Jeremy Davies, includes Lorin Stein, the former editor of the Paris Review, who resigned in 2017 amid an internal investigation. Book jackets for titles in the series will be designed by art director Peter Mendelsund. Simon & Schuster will distribute the books to the trade.
The first three books from the imprint—Daddy's Gone A-Hunting by Penelope Mortimer, Winter Love by Han Suyin, and Something to Do with Paying Attention David Foster Wallace—will be published in January 2022. Further titles to be published by the imprint include They by Kay Dick, Troy Chimneys by Margaret Kennedy, and The Murderer by Roy Heath, as well as books by Lion Feuchtwanger, Wyatt Harlan (T.Gertler), Roy Heath, Gary Indiana, and Manuel Puig.
