Angry Robot Books Rebrands

U.K.-based publisher Angry Robot Books has unveiled its recent rebranding, which includes a new logo designed by Kate Cromwell and an upgraded website that will allow for the direct sale of physical books to consumers.

Cromwell, senior designer at Watkins, said the new logo design is influenced by the 1927 German film Metropolis. She added that the movie's "iconic art deco 'machine man'... was the starting point for the new direction for Angry Robot's branding."

The rebranding will be celebrated with giveaways of the first books to be emblazoned with the house's new colophon. Those include Ciel Pierlot’s Bluebird and Stephen Deas’ House of Cats and Gulls, to be published in February.
