Tyndale's SVP, Publisher to Retire
Tyndale House's SVP and publisher Doug Knox is retiring on November 30 after 48 years with the company.
Knox's career began in 1973 in the sales department, and he was promoted to v-p of sales in marketing in 1984. Additional roles at Tyndale included associate publisher and SVP and group publisher before being named SVP and publisher in 2020. Highlights of his career include launching the New Living Translation Bible and the Life Application Study Bible, appointing Jan Long Harris to launch the Tyndale Momentum imprint, and establishing the publishing partnerships with both Focus on the Family and NavPress/The Navigators.
"My work at Tyndale has been a gift in my life," Knox said in a press release. "Tyndale has been a place I could grow spiritually and professionally. The Tyndale team today is the strongest team I’ve seen, and it’s great to see the distribution of the NLT Bible growing rapidly and bringing understanding to life for millions of people in many languages across the world.”
Jeff Rustemeyer, v-p, group publisher, will replace Knox.
