Jennifer Barth Joins Knopf
Jennifer Barth will join Knopf as senior v-p and executive editor on January 17, 2022.
Barth will acquire both fiction and nonfiction titles and work with executive v-p and publisher Reagan Arthur, as well as editor-in-chief Jordan Pavlin, to direct growth and acquisitions strategies across the entire Knopf list.
Barth has spent the past 15 years at the Harper imprint of HarperCollins, where she has published authors such as Michael Chabon, Tessa Hadley, Mary Karr, Michelle McNamara, and Peggy Orenstein. Prior to joining Harper, she was editor-in-chief of Henry Holt.
Following Barth's arrival, the Knopf editorial department will be realigned. Barth, Lexy Bloom, Deb Garrison, Jenny Jackson, Andrew Miller, and Jordan Pavlin will report to Reagan Arthur. Carole Baron, Ann Close, John Freeman, Peter Gethers, Dan Halpern, Erroll McDonald, Diana Miller, Jon Segal, and Vicky Wilson will newly report to Jordan Pavlin.
