The Atlantic has hired three new editors to its Culture team as it begins an expansion of its books coverage. Gal Beckerman, formerly of the New York Times Books Review, has joined as senior editor for books. Maya Chung, formerly of the New York Review of Books, and Emma Sarappo, previously the arts editor at Washington City Paper, have joined as associate editors.
